Dear Friends,

In the wake of the devastating attacks on Catholics, Christians and others in the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka, the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney is holding a Mass of Remembrance and a Candlelight Vigil for all the victims. These attacks have drawn some attention to the often neglected plight of persecuted Christians around the world.

Archbishop Fisher has invited everyone to join him this Friday 26th April 2019 at 5.30pm Mass in St Mary’s Cathedral to remember and pray for the souls of our brothers and sisters and to ask that the God of consolation will be with their families, the people of Sri Lanka and the worldwide community during this time. A candlelight vigil on the Forecourt of St Mary’s Cathedral will follow Mass.

Date: Friday 26th April 2019
Time: 5:30pm Mass followed by a candlelight vigil.
Location: St Mary’s Cathedral, St Mary’s Road, Sydney NSW 2000

Blessings,
Justice and Peace Office Team
